It is available for Apple iOS and Android operating system smartphones. Make sure to download the PRO version as it is the only one that works. The 3-digit tournament identifier code will be released on the TourneyX PRO app at 8:00pm on Friday\, October 23rd. For more information on how to use the TourneyX Pro APP please visit https://tourneyx.com/app/help/ for information on the app\, as well as the TourneyX Youtube page for some of their video tutorials.  \nThe following photo submission rules are as follows: \n– Photos of fish may be submitted from 6:00AM until 3:00PM \n– The live leaderboard will be turned off at 1:00pm on October 24th\, and back on following the awards ceremony on October 25th held at Backpacker – Baton Rouge. \n– The fish must be on a tournament approved measuring device\, the body centered between the rails\, and alive.  \n– Caught fish must be photographed before your next cast. This means an angler must bring a caught fish into their kayak\, and take a picture before they begin fishing again. A fish that the tournament directors suspect is dead due to being out of the water too long may be rejected. Examples of issues that may result in a disqualified fish are faded color\, no slime coat\, shriveled tail\, etc.  \n– The fish must be facing to the left with the tail to the right and the belly of the fish facing the angler. \n– The fish must be submitted at 0.25” incremental measurements \n– If the tail is not obviously touching or crossing a measurement line\, it will be rounded down to the next lower quarter inch length. \n– The nose must be pressed up against the post of the measuring device. Please ensure that shadows do not obscure the nose and post. If the judge cannot see that the nose is clearly up against the post\, the angler will face a 0.5” length deduction \n– You can submit pictures of as many fish as you like; however\, you can only submit one picture of the fish you want judged.  In the event that a submitted fish picture is denied\, you can request that the judge review another picture(s) of the same fish   \n– FOR REDFISH\, If the mouth is gaping wide open with gills flared\, the angler will face a 0.5” length deduction. The maximum length a redfish can be submitted at is 29.75” since it may not touch the 30” line \n– FOR SPECKLED TROUT\, the mouth must be entirely closed with the nose pressed firmly against the post of an angler’s measuring board. If the mouth is open at all\, a 0.5” length deduction will be taken \n– FOR FLOUNDER\, the mouth must be entirely closed with the nose pressed firmly against the post of an angler’s measuring board. If the mouth is open at all\, a 0.5” length deduction will be taken \n– There may be no lures or fish retaining tools in the fish’s mouth for the picture or the angler will face a 0.5” length reduction. This reduction may be inclusive or in addition to the open mouth penalty at the judge’s discretion. \n– The mouth\, eye\, and tail must be visible for the picture to be accepted\, with the tail flat on the measuring board. Only the angler’s hand may obscure the body of the fish\, either to hold the fish down or pinch the tail\, but not both. \n– The top lobe of the tail of your fish must be inside the boundaries of your board. If using a Check It-Stik\, the top lobe must be over the lines on the flat (bottom) portion of your board\, and not over the slanted lip on the sides. Judges will make a best attempt to score the length of the fish in relation to visible numbers and lines which the tail clearly crosses \n– The picture must be taken overhead and not at an extreme angle. \n– Pictures will only be accepted if they include original metadata which contains GPS coordinates.  Bayou Coast retains all metadata information which may be reviewed by a single designated tournament director in the event of a valid location or time based protest as spelled out later in the rules.  \n– The 3-digit tournament identifier code must be visible in the picture (written on a card or the back of your hand). If written on a card\, it may be placed on the back of your hand\, or next to the fish\, BUT not on the fish. \n– If the judge deems your picture to be inauthentic or otherwise too problematic to accept\, it will be rejected. Appeals may be made to the tournament directors as described below in the protests section. \n– Following completion of the tournament and awards ceremony\, anglers may make a formal written request that their entry is deleted from TourneyX. Doing so will delete all of the fish pictures\, metadata\, GPS\, and statistics from the angler’s TourneyX account. This means these pictures/metadata/GPS will no longer be accessible to anyone including the angler or tournament directors. This is a permanent irreversible decision. Making this request will not disqualify the angler from qualifying for awards in this tournament. \n\nGENERAL RULES:\nPARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Minors are eligible to participate with a parent or legal guardian signature on the release form. All participants represent that they are physically and mentally competent and fit and able to participate. By entering\, all participants agree to assume all risks of personal injury\, death\, and damage to or loss of property and further agree to indemnify and hold BCFKC\, its officers\, members\, agents\, and sponsors harmless from and against any and all claims\, liabilities\, and causes of action resulting directly or indirectly from participation. \nPADDLE/PEDAL CRAFT ONLY: This event allows human powered craft only. Trolling motors\, sails\, gas engines\, and “mother ships\,” are not allowed. Your pedal or paddle craft must be human powered and includes tandem kayaks\, canoes\, pirogues\, and paddleboards. A participant is allowed to wade fish or fish from the bank but ONLY if they remain within 100′ of their LAUNCHED paddle/pedal craft. Launched is defined as your paddle/pedal craft being off of your vehicle/trailer and that a portion of the craft is in fishable waters. \nTROLLING MOTOR WAIVER: Individuals who meet the following requirements can be pre-approved for a trolling motor allowance in the tournament to compete with full rights and privileges of any competitor: Applicants must be 70 years old or older (on the day of the tournament). Applicants must use a trolling motor thrust power of 35 foot-pounds or less. Anglers must be pre-approved before the end of the captains meeting. Contact the tournament director to seek approval. He/she will consult with the board and a decision will be made as soon as is practical. \nPRIVATE LAUNCHES & PRIVATE FISHING AREAS: Anglers must launch from publicly accessible launch locations. There is an exception that an angler may launch from private property as long as it is not further than ½ mile from the nearest publicly accessible launch location. Combat launches are allowed so long as all anglers have the legal right to launch from that location. Fishing behind gated areas of the marsh is not allowed unless the angler has arranged for all other participants to also fish the area that day AND has made that possibility known to all by posting appropriate information on our forums at least one week in advance. \nWATER COURTESY / ENCROACHMENT: Do your best not to disturb someone else’s fishing area\, by encroachment\, or noise. An angler officially establishes his/her fishing area by having their craft anchored in place. If you come upon an angler in an egress area\, as quietly as you can\, ask which side he or she would like you to cross at. A good rule of thumb is that if you can both cast to a common point you’re too close. Respect others and use the golden rule. \nPROTESTS: All protests must be written and submitted electronically (text/email/direct message from social media) by 8PM on October 24th to be considered. The tournament director is the final authority on deciding the merits/outcomes of a protest. \nCHEATING/FOUL PLAY: All anglers are encouraged to report violations. Cheating and contest fraud in a fishing tournament is a felony crime in the state of Louisiana. Bayou Coast will enforce a zero tolerance policy with regard to cheating. \nPOLYGRAPH EXAMINATION: All participants\, by signing up\, agree to take a polygraph examination if requested. Any participant can be asked to submit to a polygraph examination. No explanation shall be required from the hosts of the tournament as to why a specific individual is asked to submit to a polygraph examination. Refusal to submit to or failure of a polygraph examination will result in disqualification from the tournament\, forfeiture of any and all prizes / awards\, and potential banishment from all future Bayou Coast events. No refunds for tournament fees will be granted for person(s) refusing to submit to or failing a polygraph examination. Any polygraph examinations performed will be at Backpacker – Baton Rouge on Sunday morning before the awards ceremony. Any anglers that are subject to a polygraph test request will be notified not later than Saturday\, October 24th at 10pm.  \nRELEASE OF LIABILITY AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE: A waiver\, release of liability\, and covenant not to sue are part of the entry form. It is required that all contestants take responsibility for themselves while participating in event activities. Please DO NOT let your competitive nature push you into doing dangerous things. You must agree to the Waiver to participate. The Waiver is in the online registration page linked below. BE SAFE\, BE SEEN\, AND WEAR YOUR PFD! \nDEPTH FINDERS: Depth finders / fish finders are allowed. \nBAITS: Live\, dead\, and artificial baits are allowed. Commercially produced scented baits and attractants are also allowed. \nCOMMUNICATION: Cell or electronic communication “to and from” non-tournament anglers during tournament hours will not be allowed except if it is not fishing related (Example: your wife\, work\, etc.). \nPFD REQUIREMENT: You must properly wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD while afloat in your watercraft during all Bayou Coast events. Failure to comply with this rule during competition could result in disqualification from the tournament. Disqualification will be determined by the Tournament Director based on investigation of any specific incident. \nRULE CHANGES: Interpretation of rules is exclusively left to the Tournament Directors and Bayou Coast Officers. The decisions of this group are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal. Please do your part in not providing a reason to place them in a position where they must make rulings\, decisions\, etc. Keep it simple\, keep it clean\, and when in doubt…do the right thing. \nLEGAL FISH: Each participant must catch their own fish. You may not give fish to another participant. You may not net a fish for another (adult) participant. Youths should hook and retrieve their own catch. A parent/guardian may net fish for them and may handle the fish once it is netted. \nDRONE/UAS USAGE: Tournament participants are not allowed to use unmanned aircraft systems (drones) during the tournament day to scout for fish\, spy on other anglers\, or any other means that may be viewed as benefiting/advancing their fishing. \nWEATHER: Tournament days may be shortened or canceled due to unsafe weather or water conditions. The decision to shorten or to cancel will be left totally to the discretion of the Tournament Director. A 4-hour period shall constitute a day of fishing.

The winners for Angler of the Year will have accumulated the most  points from the 4 qualifying tournaments plus the Bayou Coast Championship\, but will be allowed a drop of the worst placing tournament for each individual angler. \nAt the end of all 4 qualifying tournaments\, at least the top 2 anglers in angler of the year points (who had not previously qualified in a tournament) will gain entry to the championship via wildcard. Points accumulated in all 4 qualifying tournaments will count in determining the wildcard spots.  If there are still less than 40 anglers qualified for the championship after the initial 2 wildcards are earned\, up to 3 more wildcard places may be awarded to the next highest Angler of the Year points earners so that a minimum of 40 anglers qualify for the championship.  \nENTRY FEES: The entry fee is $35 per participant. \n$18 of each entry is paid out to the winners. \n$10 of each entry is held for the Championship Event. \n$7 of each entry covers TourneyX platform and PayPal processing fees. \n100% of the event purse is split to pay out the individual awards. \n1-30 Paid Entries = Three (3) places paid out \n31-50 Paid Entries = Four (4) places paid out \n51-75 Paid Entries = Five (5) places paid out \n76-100 Paid Entries = Six (6) places paid out \n101+ Paid Entries = Seven (7) places paid out \nMinimum payout = $50 with cash differentials provided by Bayou Coast. \nHOURLY BIG RED CALCUTTA: There will be an option during registration to enter the Big Red calcutta for $10.00. A winner will be declared every hour for the angler who submits the biggest redfish in each hour of the tournament starting at 5:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. Each “hour” will begin on the half hour\, 5:30am to 6:30am\, 6:30am to 7:30am\, and so on. In the event of a tie\, the angler who submits their photograph earliest that hour wins. The winner is determined based on the time when the picture was submitted and not when the photograph was taken. The Big Red calcutta pot will be divided equally between all the winners.  Anglers can win multiple times (up to five submissions as long as the photos were not taken during the same hour).   \nYOUTH DIVISION: There is a youth division for anglers who are 12 years of age or younger for free. Enter by sending an email or a private message on the forum or through Facebook to any of the club officers. Youths compete for a prize valued at $50 (minimum) and do not compete against anglers who paid full entry fees. The youth angler must have their own TourneyX account setup with an email address. A participant is allowed to wade fish or fish from the bank but ONLY if they remain within 100′ of their LAUNCHED paddle craft. Launched is defined as your paddle/pedal craft being off of your vehicle/trailer and that a portion of the craft is in fishable waters. \nPRIVATE LAUNCHES & PRIVATE FISHING AREAS: Only publicly available launch locations are permitted. \nPROTESTS: All protests must be written and submitted electronically by 5pm to be considered. The tournament director is the final authority on deciding the merits/outcomes of a protest. \nCHEATING/FOUL PLAY: All anglers are encouraged to report violations. Cheating and contest fraud in a fishing tournament is a crime in the state of Louisiana. \nBAITS: Only artificial baits are allowed. \nPARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Minors are eligible to participate with a parent or legal guardian. That parent or guardian\, not Bayou Coast\, is responsible for the safety and well-being of that minor. All participants represent that they are physically and mentally competent and fit and able to participate. By entering\, all participants agree to assume ALL risks of personal injury\, death\, and damage to or loss of property and further agree to indemnify and hold Bayou Coast\, its officers\, members\, agents\, and sponsors harmless from and against any and all claims\, liabilities\, and causes of action resulting directly or indirectly from participation. \nTOURNEYX TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION & LEADERBOARD LINK

SUMMARY:Where Y'at Classic Tournament
DESCRIPTION:EVENT INFORMATION AND OFFICIAL RULES\nREGISTRATION & TOURNAMENT IDENTIFIER: Registration will be open through the TourneyX PRO app up until 10:00PM Central Time\, May 15\, 2020. The 3-digit tournament identifier code will be released in the app at 8:30PM Central Time on May 15\, 2020. \nCATCH\, PHOTO\, SUBMIT (CPS) FORMAT: Bayou Coast is running this tournament as a “catch\, photo\, submit” (CPS) tournament on the TourneyX Pro app. As compared to “CPR” tournaments\, there is no requirement for the angler to “release” their fish back into the water. However\, anglers are required to follow the strictest interpretation of Louisiana law regarding the keeping of fish as it relates to size and creel limit for all species. \nVIRTUAL CAPTAINS MEETING: A virtual captains meeting will take place in the evening on Thursday May 14th at 7:00PM on Facebook Live.  The details of how to attend this meeting will be announced in advance and will be posted on the club webpage\, www.bayoucoast.com as well as on the club Facebook Page\, Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing Club – Discussion group. The tournament directors will discuss key details of the tournament and field questions from anglers relative to the rules of the tournament\, using the TourneyX Pro app\, and submitting photos of fish. \nAWARDS CEREMONY:  The awards ceremony will take place on Facebook Live at 7:00 pm on May 16\, 2020.  We will announce the overall winners\, as well as the top 15 anglers who have tentatively qualified for the championship\, as well as the winners of the Big Bass and Big Red Hourly Calcutta. Additionally the winner from the youth division will be announced.  The awards ceremony will take place on Facebook Live through the club Facebook Page\, Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing Club-Discussion group.   \nBOUNDARIES: Anglers may launch within St. Bernard Parish and in Plaquemines Parish east of the Mississippi River. All launches (marinas and combat style) must be publicly accessible and non-private. Private launches that offer an angler an unfair advantage are not allowed. Participants may only utilize those private launches where other anglers can readily access the same fishing grounds. Fishing behind gated areas of the marsh is not allowed unless the angler has arranged for all other participants to also fish the area that day AND has made that possibility known to all by posting appropriate information on our forums at least one week in advance. \nTIME: The official LAUNCH & LINES IN time is 5:30 AM. You may put your kayak in the water prior to 5:30 AM and stage in the immediate vicinity of the launch\, but DO NOT proceed forth or begin fishing UNTIL 5:30 AM. REMINDER: Be courteous\, DO NOT BLOCK LAUNCHES. Anglers must stop fishing at 3:00 PM. Any photos or submissions attempted after 3:00 PM will be rejected. \nOBJECT: The longest total length of 3 tournament slot redfish (16” to 27”) and 2 bass longer than 10” will win. Specifically for redfish\, the tail may not be touching the 27” line on an angler’s board. As such\, 26.75” is the maximum length an angler can submit for length on a redfish. Fish pictures submitted to the TourneyX Pro App will be judged by one or more individuals assigned to the job by the tournament directors. In the event of a tie\, the angler with the longest fish will place higher. If the first fish does not break the tie\, the anglers next largest fish will be used\, and so on down their list of submissions. In the event that the anglers are still tied\, then the angler who submitted their final fish first that is used in their stringer will win. \nAPPROVED MEASURING DEVICES:  \nThe Hawg Trough – LINES MUST BE TRACED with a marker  \nKetch Boards – Only the models that are 32” or shorter will be accepted \nCheck-it Stik Kayak Elite Series – This specific model only will be accepted \nThese boards are expected to be clean and all lines/numbers clearly visible to the judges who view submitted pictures.   \nPHOTO SUBMISSION RULES / INFO: “TourneyX Pro” is the official app and tournament scoring method for Bayou Coast CPS Tournaments. It is available for Apple iOS and Android operating system smartphones. Make sure to download the PRO version as it is the only one that works. The 3-digit tournament identifier code will be released on the TourneyX PRO app at 8:30pm on Friday\, May 15th. For more information on how to use the TourneyX Pro APP please visit https://tourneyx.com/app/help/ for information on the app\, as well as the TourneyX Youtube page for some of their video tutorials.  \nThe following photo submission rules are as follows: \n– Photos of fish may be submitted from 5:30am until 3:00pm \n– The live leaderboard will be turned off at 1:00pm\, and back on following the awards ceremony the same evening. \n– The fish must be on a tournament approved measuring device and the body centered between the rails\, and alive. The maximum length a redfish can be submitted at is 26.75” since it may not touch the 27” line \n– FOR BASS\, the mouth must be CLOSED. If the mouth is open more than the slightest crack\, the angler will face a 0.5” length deduction \n– There may be no lures or fish retaining tools in the fish’s mouth for the picture or the angler will face a 0.5” length reduction. This reduction may be inclusive or in addition to the open mouth penalty at the judge’s discretion \n– The mouth\, eye\, and tail must be visible for the picture to be accepted\, with the tail flat on the measuring board. Judges will make a best attempt to score the length of the fish in relation to visible numbers and lines which the tail clearly crosses. \n– The picture must be taken overhead and not at an extreme angle. \n– Pictures will only be accepted if they include original metadata which contains GPS coordinates.  Note: Assigned judges will NOT have access to metadata information.  Only a single Bayou Coast officer has access to this information. The only situation in which it will be viewed is if a valid location based protest is submitted to the tournament directors\, or there is a genuine suspicion that the angler was not fishing within the legal boundaries. \n– Following completion of the tournament and awards ceremony\, anglers may make a formal written request that their entry is deleted from TourneyX to the tournament directors. Doing so will delete all of the fish pictures\, metadata\, GPS\, and statistics from the angler’s TourneyX account. This means these pictures/metadata/GPS will no longer be accessible to anyone including the tournament directors. This is a permanent irreversible decision. Making this request will not disqualify the angler from qualifying for awards in the tournament. \nANGLER OF THE YEAR / CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION: The top 15 anglers on the leaderboard of the Where Y’at Classic are eligible to qualify for the Bayou Coast Championship in November. To qualify\, an angler must also have an additional paid entry to one of the other 3 qualification tournaments and be a paid club member in good standing with Bayou Coast prior to entry into the tournament in which they qualified. \nPoints are awarded for Angler of the Year at each tournament with 1st receiving 300 points\, 2nd receiving 299 points\, 3rd receiving 298 points\, and so on down the line. To receive points\, an angler must weigh in at least a single legal fish and be a Bayou Coast member in good standing. \n$18 of each entry is paid out to the winners.\n$10 of each entry is held for the Championship Event.\n$7 of each entry covers TourneyX platform and PayPal processing fees. \n100% of the event purse is split to pay out the individual awards. \n1-30 Paid Entries = Three (3) places paid out\n31-50 Paid Entries = Four (4) places paid out\n51-75 Paid Entries = Five (5) places paid out\n76-100 Paid Entries = Six (6) places paid out\n101+ Paid Entries = Seven (7) places paid out \nMinimum payout = $50 with cash differentials provided by Bayou Coast. \nBIG RED: There will be an option during registration to enter the Big Red calcutta for $10.00. In the event of a tie\, the angler who photographs their submission picture earliest that hour wins. The winner is determined based on the time the photograph was taken and not when the picture was submitted. The Big Red calcutta pot will be divided equally between all the winners.  Anglers can win multiple times (up to three submissions as long as the photos were not taken during the same hour).   \nLUNKER BASS: There will be an option during registration to enter the Lunker Bass calcutta for $5 and the winner will take all. Winner is determined by the longest bass submitted\, or the earliest submitted Lunker Bass in the event of a tie. Fish that are not properly iced and/or kept “fresh” will not be accepted for the weigh-in. \nDO NOT intentionally alter the length of a fish by “air-drying” any portion of the fish. The entire fish must be kept in an appropriate cooler or kept on a stringer while alive. Do not keep dead fish on a stringer. Do not cull dead fish. You are allowed to “take” (kill) ONLY five redfish per day. If you cull dead fish\, you may be guilty of exceeding your daily limit. Exceeding your daily limit is a disqualifier. If you cull fish that are “weak” and will probably not survive\, you would be committing an unsportsmanlike act. Please be responsible and do the right thing. \nEach participant must catch their own fish. You may not give to another participant.

The weigh-in team\, utilizing our computer software\, will determine if your submission will place better in the slam division\, a single fish division\, or in the leopard red division. An individual angler can submit up to 4 fish – one of each species to enter the slam category and an additional redfish to enter the leopard red category. If an angler’s heaviest redfish is also a multi-spotted redfish\, that redfish can be used as best benefits the angler to put him/her in a position to win the biggest single prize for which he/she might be eligible. \nOTHER CATEGORIES:\nSENIOR CAJUN SLAM BONUS: The angler who is 65 years of age or older (on the day of the tournament) who catches the heaviest Cajun Slam wins a bonus prize. Kids fishing the Jr. Angler Division are permitted to ride and fish in a kayak with another angler\, however any fish caught must be kept separate or clearly and plainly marked so as to make them readily distinguishable from the other anglers catch. Simply put\, do not store all the fish in the same ice chest or ice bag unless they are placed on separate stringers or otherwise marked so that each angler can clearly identify his/her catch. Use of different colored zip-ties is a popular method of marking fish. \nPAYOUTS / PRIZES:\nCAJUN SLAM TOURNAMENT PAYOUT: $20 of each entry fee paid before the closing of online registration will be paid out to cash prizes. 10% of the entry fees collected before the closing of online registration will be donated to charitable causes selected by a vote of the membership. The Tournament Director\, after coordinating with other available board members\, will make final decisions. \nLEGAL TACKLE / BAIT: Artificial\, live and/or or dead bait is allowed. Scent infused baits such as Gulp\, etc… are legal. Scented dips\, dyes and sprays such as Bang attractant\, Pro-Cure\, Dip-n-Glo\, etc… are legal. Chum is allowed. If a bait or attractant is allowed by law\, then it is allowed in this tournament. \nPADDLE / PEDAL-CRAFT ONLY: No trolling motors / sails / gas engines or “mother ships” other than the very limited exception noted below. Your pedal or paddle craft must be human powered unless you fit the requirements below. Contestants are allowed to wade fish or fish off of the bank but ONLY as long as the area you’re fishing is within 100’ of your LAUNCHED paddle craft. Launched means your kayak is partly in fishable water\, not a parking lot puddle. \nWATER COURTESY: Do your best not to disturb someone else’s fishing area\, by encroachment\, or noise. If you come upon an angler in an egress area\, as quietly as you can\, ask which side he or she would like you to cross at. A good rule of thumb is that if you can both cast to a common point you’re too close. Respect others. Use the golden rule. Intentional interference with an angler’s activities is unlawful and can be grounds for disqualification. Do unto other as you would have them do unto you. \nPROTEST: All protests must be made in writing and delivered to a tournament official within 30 minutes of the weighing of the last fish entered. The tournament director is the final authority in all considerations. All anglers are encouraged to report cheating. \nPOLYGRAPH / CHEATING / FOUL PLAY: There will be zero tolerance. ANY entrant and/or prize category winner may be required to undergo polygraph examination either by random draw or by order of the board of directors. Any refusal to submit to polygraph testing will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament and potential suspension and/or banishment from participating in all future BCKFC tournaments. If requested\, a contestant must pass the polygraph exam to collect his/her prize(s). Prizes will not be awarded if any of the polygraph results indicate a participant’s reply or replies was/were deceptive OR “inconclusive.” There is no appeal process for those who do not pass the polygraph. Potential winners MUST remain available and sober for polygraph testing. \nRULE CHANGES: Rules interpretation is exclusively left to the Tournament Directors and BCKFC Officers. The decisions of this group are final in all matters and are not subject to appeal. \nPARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. \nREGISTRATION AND CAPTAINS MEETING: Each contestant should register and pay BEFORE 11:59 PM on Sunday\, October 13th\, 2019. Late registrations will be accepted at the Captain’s Meeting on Friday\, October 18th\, 2019. There will be a $10 late fee. The Captain’s Meeting will begin at 7:00 pm Friday\, October 18th\, 2019 at Cypress Cove Marina\, Venice\, Louisiana. Attendance at the Captain’s Meeting is optional. Delicious pastalaya cooked by “The Little Rascals” will be served AND we will raffle off several very nice items that night. Please join us for fun\, tall tales\, and festivities. \nENTRY FEES: $60 per person for the first 2 members of your immediate family. Each additional dependent can register for the discounted rate of $30 per person. A “dependent” for these purposes includes only those persons that you will claim as dependents on your tax filings for 2019. Please do not abuse this rule. EARLY entry fees include a tournament shirt as well as meals Friday and Saturday. Those who register late will NOT be guaranteed a shirt but we will TRY to accommodate you. Extra Shirts can be purchased for $20 when/where/if available. Additionally you can become a BCKFC member for $25 a year per person\, or $40 per family household. Please specify size of shirt at the time of registration. \nLEGAL FISHING TIME / BOUNDRIES: You may launch at any time but you must not make your first cast until 5:00 AM. You may fish any accessible waters in Plaquemines Parish (east or west). You may not fish gated areas that other anglers cannot access. You may launch from a private camp\, etc… as long as other anglers can launch nearby and reasonably access and fish the same area. \nSIGN IN / WEIGH IN: Weigh-in will be held from 3:00:00 PM until 4:00:00 PM on October 19\, 2019 at Cypress Cove Marina. DO NOT BE LATE! You MUST physically appear WITH YOUR FISH and be in line to sign in NO LATER THAN 4:00:00 PM as per cell phone time of the appointed time keeper. Proxy sign-ins are not allowed. Weigh-in will continue until all participants who signed in on time have had their catch weighed. Any fisherman in line to sign in at the weigh-in station before the 4:00:00 PM cut-off time on October 19th\, 2018 will be allowed to weigh their fish. At 4:00:01\, any entrant not in line to sign-in will be considered late and will not be allowed to weight their catch and will not qualify for any awards. REMINDER: In case of any tie\, the earliest sign-in time will be the tie breaker. The sign in / weigh in station will be operational starting at 3:00p.m. Sign-in closes promptly at 4:00p.m. Weigh-in will continue until all participants who signed in on time have had their catch weighed. Any fishermen in line to sign in at the weigh-in station by the 4p.m. cutoff time on October 19th\, 2018 will be allowed to weigh their fish. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Anglers are strongly urged not to wait until the last minute to sign-in for the weigh-in. \nAll competitors must check in with legal fish as per LDWF policy and regulations to be eligible for prizes. All fish submitted for weigh-in must be fresh and caught on the day of the tournament. The weigh master and weigh team will make decisions on accepting fish for weigh-in after consulting with available board members. These decisions are final. Any attempt to enter fraudulent catches\, exchange catches and/or tamper with catches\, or to hamper or threaten any official of the tournament will result in immediate disqualification and or prosecution when criminal fraud occurs. \nYou are allowed only ONE “whoops” under the strictest interpretation of Louisiana law. Any combination of over/under-sized fish will result in the angler being disqualified from the tournament. \nDRYING FISH: “Air drying” of fish or the tails of larger redfish is NOT allowed. All parts of all fish should be placed on ice and maintained for freshness. Remember\, we eat these fish. Fish will only be accepted for the weigh-in if they are in a cooler bag\, ice chest or other appropriate container that also contains ice. The entire fish should be in the container. Do not appear at the weigh-in with fish that are on a stringer and are not iced in a proper container or bag. \nOnly authorized persons will be allowed in the weigh-in station. Please try not to distract these volunteers while they go about their tasks. You will receive a weigh-in card when you check in at the sign in table. Once you receive your weigh card and have checked in\, you may proceed to the scales to have your catch weighed. Weighed / Entered fish may or may not be returned as per the weigh-master’s discretion. Fish that are submitted will be used in the fish fry dinner that evening. The largest fish will be determined by weight. In the event of a tie\, the first contestant to have signed in will be considered the winner while the other contestant will be dropped to the next position. \nFish will be bent\, loosened and manipulated before being measured with a pinched tail. Tails of trout and flounder will be manually pinched to obtain maximum length as per the instructions found in the Louisiana Fishing Regulations\, 2018 pamphlet. Tails of larger redfish will be pinched using the standardized tool attached to the measuring board\, which\, if needed and used\, will be moved to the 26.5” line to pinch the tail of larger redfish.

Anglers are permitted to fish with whomever they choose; however\, anglers listed on the below “Power Angler” list or any angler who has ever qualified for the Hobie Worlds are not permitted to fish with each other. Team members are required to stay within sight distance of each other; generally speaking\, anglers should be within a few hundred yards of each other. Team members are required to launch together and to be present at the weigh in together. If a team member cannot attend the tournament\, the angler can fish alone but will only be able to weigh in his/her individual fish\, as described below. \nThe heaviest total weight of up to 1 slot Redfish (16″ to less than 27″) and 5 speckled trout (over 12”) per team member will win. Each team can weigh in up to 2 redfish and 10 trout; however\, no individual team member can weigh in more than 1 slot redfish and 5 trout. A team member cannot share or give fish to his/her team member or any other angler fishing this event. A slot Redfish will be measured with a closed mouth and a pinched tail; the longest point of the pinched tail shall touch the 16″ mark at a minimum length and shall NOT touch the 27″ mark at a maximum length. \nWEIGH-IN: The weigh-in will begin at 2:00 PM at PAC Kayak Rentals. The weigh-in line will be cut off at 3:00 PM sharp. Upon your arrival at the weigh-in site\, SIGN IN ASAP. Sign in time is a tie breaker in the event of a tie. If a team member is not present by 3:00\, the member who is present will be allowed to weigh in only his/her fish. \nEach team member will weigh in his/her fish separately and the weights from the team will then be combined. Team members must keep their fish separate from their teammate. Each team members individual weight will be used to calculate points for Angler of the Year and to determine which individuals qualify for the BCKFC Championship (top 15 individual anglers qualify). \nENTRY FEES: The entry fee is $31.50 per participant.\n$18 of each entry is paid out to the winners.\n$10 of each entry is held for the Championship Event.\n$2 of each entry is added to the club’s general fund for event expenses. \n100% of the event purse is split to pay out the team awards. If you come upon an angler in an egress area\, as quietly as you can\, ask which side he or she would like you to cross at. All fish presented at time of weigh in must meet BCKFC tournament size requirements. Any fish presented to weigh-master that does not meet minimum/maximum size requirements will not be accepted as a tournament entry. A replacement fish will be allowed but has to be in your physical possession. You are not allowed to leave your position at the weigh table. If a second fish is presented and does not meet minimum/maximum tournament size requirements it will result in an immediate disqualification of the angler from the tournament. All gross negligence of the minimum/maximum tournament size limits will result in an immediate disqualification and the BCKFC weigh-master and Tournament Director will have final decision. Any attempt to enter fraudulent catch\, exchanging catches\, tampering with catch\, or to hamper or threaten any official of the tournament will result in immediate disqualification. Please be responsible and do the right thing. \nEach participant must catch their own fish. You may not give to another participant. \nPOWER ANGLER LIST\nThe list of anglers below are NOT allowed to team up with each other for this event.
